Performance Learning Systems (PLS) offers powerful professional development and graduate courses for teachers and administrators. Workshops are held at school sites all over the United States and graduate courses can be taken in person (with one of PLS’ multiple partner institutions). Many of these courses are also offered online. For information on workshops, speakers, or classes, go to their website at www.plsweb.com.

NEP-Endorsed Organizations:
The following programs provide great resources for districts looking to help their academies and SLCs succeed, as well helping individual educators further their education and career.

The National Career Academy Coalition (NCAC) is a non-profit organization committed to assisting new and existing academies in achieving positive results in whole school reform. Don’t miss their website at www.ncacinc.org.

The Career Academy Support Network (CASN) is housed at the University of California at Berkeley. CASN is a wealth of resources and research on the effectiveness of academies. Tap into this wealth at http://casn.berkeley.edu.
